A New Chapter
2007 marked a new chapter in my life. A year which I entitled : A Year of New Beginnings.
Little did I know what an exciting year I was in for. From the career aspect, together with my team we moved to IPP Financial Advisers Pte Ltd, an IFA platform (Independent Financial Advisory). After being 14 years in Manulife, I realised that move was necessary to serve my clients better. As their trusted adviser, I wanted to be in a platform that I am not tied or linked to one company or brand, but to be client-centered. From a personal aspect, in the past, my life evolved around work and family only. Last year, I started to explore things like forums and networking etc. Together with some friends, we started a fan forum for Nathaniel Ho (Nat Ho), NaturallyNat Fan Forum. It was really fun covering events, organising fan gatherings, collecting articles to post and being that extended arm in Nat’s career. I really love his spirit of excellence and he is indeed an artist worth supporting. So for 2007, I was busy trying out new things at work and at play. A year of many 1st times. Sometimes, it was very scary, but I had a dear friend that was there to encourage me, and I am so thankful that God placed this gem in my life. At the end of 2007, I was encouraged to start blogging.. which again was and still is very foreign to me. For a mummy with 2 teenage sons, I took a less travelled road, and I am glad I did! So here I am in 2008 .. welcome to my world =)
